The Ontario Trillium Scholarship is a scholarship for students who are residents of Ontario and have resided in the province for twelve consecutive months before the start of their studies. 

To be eligible, you must also be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate degree program. 

This scholarship awards $6,000 annually with a total value of $24,000 over two years.

The Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation Scholarship is a prestigious award that rewards outstanding accomplishments in the arts, humanities, and social sciences.

Applicants must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents, have completed at least two years of post-secondary education, and demonstrate financial need. 

The scholarship is awarded annually with a value of $80,000 for three years. 

Recipients are selected by an independent jury that bases their decisions on academic excellence and personal achievement. Students may only apply once during their academic career but will remain eligible for consideration as long as they maintain a high level of academic performance. 

Awards are announced at the end of June each year. Applications can be submitted through any college/university website, but only official transcripts from post-secondary institutions recognized by CÉGEP boards and provincial ministries of education will be accepted.

You must be an incoming freshman who will graduate from high school no later than June 30th.

If they are not graduating in the next twelve months, they may only receive this scholarship for three semesters (excluding summer). 

They will receive $2,000 per semester. The award covers tuition only; living expenses and other costs related to studying at the University of Calgary are not included.

This scholarship is offered to Canadian students pursuing a degree in the life sciences, chemistry, or mathematics. The scholarship is valued at $11,000 and is awarded annually. 

This scholarship has been awarded since 2003 to students studying life sciences, chemistry, or mathematics. It is valued at $11,000, and it is open to Canadian citizens who are currently enrolled in a degree program within these three disciplines.

The University of British Columbia Public Scholars Award, is a $25,000 scholarship offered to one Canadian citizen or permanent resident who has demonstrated academic excellence and public engagement. It’s open to all undergraduate students at the University of British Columbia. 

Applicants must complete at least two years of study towards an undergraduate degree by December 1st in the year preceding application.

The award will be given based on academic merit, emphasizing outstanding contributions to community service, volunteerism, and other forms of public engagement. 

The applicant must also demonstrate financial need as defined by Statistics Canada’s Low-Income Cut-Off measure (LICO) for their region.
